The Blackpool Dance Festival was first held in 1920 at the Empress Ballroom in the Winter Gardens, Blackpool. Spanning fourteen days, the May edition is the largest of the five annual festivals in the town. The event showcases Ballroom and Latin American dance, featuring the British Open Championships for both Adult Amateur and Professional couples, as well as exciting Formation Team competitions.
